Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at browsbyhan815@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Your permanent makeup can last anywhere from 1-3 years. Most clients get a yearly or year and a half touch up to keep the brows looking defined and fresh. Cosmetic tattooing is designed to fade over time. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, age, metabolism, medications and pigment color affect the life of your permanent makeup. The sun and tanning beds will also fade your brows quicker. Take care of your brows with your given aftercare and touch up your brows every 12-18 months as needed. Touch ups are normal and expected with permanent makeup.

  • Oily skin: increased oil can make microblading look very blurred and is best to opt for an ombre' or powder brow if you have larger pores and oily skin.

  • Sun exposure: increased sun exposure or exposure to tanning beds will cause premature fading to your permanent makeup. Sunscreen is great to apply to your brows once they're healed to help premature fading. Try to wear a hat when you're outside even after they're healed.

  • Smoking: smoking can cause permanent cosmetics to fade quicker.

  • Bleeding: excessive bleeding during your appointment can affect how your brows heal and how you retain pigment. Bleeding sometimes cannot be controlled but it's important to follow before care to help minimize bleeding such as avoiding blood thinner medications 24 hours before appointment also avoiding alcohol and caffeine.

Pain is minimal because of topical lidocaine that is used before and during appointment. Pain tolerance varies between clients but you can try avoiding appointment during menstrual cycle as this can increase sensitivity.

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Must be off accutane for at least a year
  • Have rosacea
  • Must be off chemo or radiation for 6 months
  • Are on blood thinners or antibiotics
  • Have a fresh sunburn on your face
  • Prone to keloids
  • History of MRSA

After your appointment your brows will appear much darker and bolder. Your brows may also appear warmer in color and will neutralize after a day or so. Swelling and redness is normal but should go down after 24 hours.

Day 3 you will notice some flaking or scabbing, DO NOT PICK. picking at your brows will result in loss of pigment. Brows will appear spotty or patchy until the entire brow is healed.

At 4-6 weeks your brows will be fully healed. Any pigment that did not resurface will be touched up at your touch up appointment and why your touch up appointment is so important. If a darker or bolder brow is desired this can also be done at your touch up appointment.

Any work done by someone else I require a picture emailed to me to make sure it's something I will be able to coverup. Sometimes old work will need a color correction that may take an additional touch up to coverup. If the old work is not faded enough you may be required to have them removed/lightened before having them redone. Any client coming to me from a different artist is considered a new client, with full prices.

You can expect your initial appointment to take anywhere from 2-2.5 hours this will be going over consent forms, questions you may have, mapping your shape and the actual procedure. Touch up appointments will take an hour.

Lip blush can last anywhere from 2-5 years depending on what color you choose.

I do numb before and after Lip blush but every client and pain tolerance is different.

Yes! Lips with filler are great for getting lip blush, you just need to wait 4 weeks from your filler appointment.

Yes but it is very likely that you will have an outbreak after getting it done and can alter healed results. It is advised to get an anti viral prescription before your appointment to prevent an outbreak.

Lips can be pretty swollen right after your appointment but swelling will usually go down in 24 hours. It is advised to not make social plans for a few days after appointment as it will take about 5 days for healing and peeling will happen about day 2 or 3.

A 6 week touch up after your initial appointment is needed to finish the brows. Some clients may need a second touch up but it is crucial to do so before 12 weeks after your first touch up. I do not recommend doing anything after this to your brows for at least a year or longer. You want your brows to be faded about 50%-60% before coming back in for a color boost. Your skin can only hold so much pigment and I will always ask for a photo to see if they're faded enough to touch up. Color boost price is $275 when you come between 12-24 months.

If your brows have faded 50% before the year you can get a touch up at 9-12 months with the price of $150, you will need to have this approved by me first.

Permanent makeup requires two sessions sometimes three to achieve the finished look. Every client is different and most clients will only need two sessions but in the case of pigment not retaining we will do another touch up session within 6-10 weeks after first touch up. Anything after 6 months will be considered a color boost with a discounted rate.
