BEFORE CARE
-Cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding
-No alcohol 24 hr prior
-No caffeine 24 hr prior
-No filler/Botox 4 weeks prior
-No chemical peel facials 4 weeks prior

I recommend taking the L-lysine vitamin to help support lip health as soon as 2 weeks before your appointment.
Keep the lips moisturized weeks leading up to your procedure. Lip blush cannot be preformed if the lips are dry and cracked. Staying hydrated will also insure your lips are healthy and smooth, you want to prep your skin and lips to give me the best canvas to work on for the best healed results. Those with a history of cold sores will need to use an anti-viral medication (Zovirax, Valtrex, acyclovir) day of appointment + 3-5 days post lip procedure to minimize the risk of an outbreak. Treatment cannot be preformed if you have an active outbreak.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
immediately following your Lip Blush service, your color may appear harsh painted-on looking, but it will soften and be more natural as your lips heal. Over the next 3-7 days, the outer layer of color will appear dry/crusty and start to flake off. Under no circumstances should you pick, scratch or rub the treated area in attempt to remove the dry material. Removing of the dry/crusts may result in the removal of the actual pigment and infection can occur.
As the outer layers flake off, you will notice that the color is lighter and much softer. Over the next 2 weeks color that was implanted under the skin will move forward, please allow a full 6 weeks of healing. You're required to have your follow up appointment 8-10 weeks as this is a two-step procedure.
